Yes, it's true and anyone who knows me knows this about me. I am a big country music fan. I can't help it. I don't know where it comes from, but I have been a fan since I was a kid. Probably because my parents listened to it at some point. They originally listened to "oldies" which I enjoy as well. Really I enjoy most types of music, except for the crap that screams at me. But, I really really enjoy country music. Judge me all you want. Tell me one of the things I have heard a million times about how country songs are all the same about how the guy's wife left, and she got the dog and the double wide. If you think that is country music, my friend, you haven't listened to very much of it and you have no idea what you are talking about.
My sister, Tia, who has been into much different kinds of music than me our entire lives, and I had a conversation about country music and how good it is in the middle of the night after we saw the New Moon premier (which by the way was way better than Twilight if I haven't mentioned that already). Anyway, Tia told me she had been listening to country recently and she was really enjoying it. She said she had forgotten how good it was. That a lot of the songs have really good messages. I have to say I agree. It uplifts me. Which if you know me very well, you will know, I pretty much only like entertainment that will uplift me. I don't like to watch depressing movies or anything. No matter how good the movie may be, if it is going to make me sad, I probably won't watch it.
Country music is one of the many things that I very much enjoy because it makes me happy. The songs are about things that are real. Sure, there are some silly songs in there, which actually make me happy, some I hate (pretty much anything by Taylor Swift, which is a whole other post), but for the most part, country music is about love, life, country and God. Which to me is great. The love songs aren't all about the physical portion of love, the songs about life remind me that trials are just part of it, the songs about my country remind me to be more patriotic and the songs about God remind me that I need to be a better witness of Him. Country reminds me of what really should be important in my life, and it's not money, things or how I look. It's about the person I am, the relationship I have with my husband and my family, and constantly evaluating how I can be better. That is why I love country music. Judge away.

New Stuff
Things have been a little crazy for us recently. I have been pretty busy with work and school. Although I am enjoying school a lot. I am a little bit surprised I am really enjoying an accounting class. Especially considering I am doing it online. But I am doing well so far.My first exam is this week and I guess I should see how that goes before I actually say how well I am doing.
Anyway, we have had a few financial issues come up, my doctor switched networks, and I had some testing done that, surprise, actually isn't covered. Fortunately my doctor is awesome is going to take care of both bills with little to no out of pocket expense from me.
Last week, we had our dishwasher basically die. It has never been very good. I had to wash the dishes almost completely before putting them in the dishwasher and half the time the dishes would come out more dirty than when we put them in. Then, the soap dispenser quit opening, which obviously means the dishwasher didn't do more than rinse the dishes and swish around the food. Sooo, we took some money out of savings and bought a new dishwasher, which I am
However, we did have a nice blessing come into our lives. We are getting quite a bit back on our tax return this year, which we are going to use most of to pay off some debt and then put the rest in savings. I was completely surprised by how much we are getting back and it gives me hope that some time soon we can get completely out of credit card debt.
So, I feel like a bit of a hypocrite saying what we did yesterday. After we have been concerned about our finances for weeks and planning to pay off debt with our tax returns, we went to Best Buy yesterday and bought a 50" tv, stand, and blue ray player. Scott has been wanting a bigger tv for a couple of months, and it is o% interest for 36 months. That is a long time! I just couldn't pass up a financing deal like that. Scott will only be paying $50 to pay it off in three years. So we did it. It was a bit of an impulse buy. We weren't planning on buying a tv on the way there. We were planning on looking, but we are both pretty excited about having it. Now we just need to sell our old entertainment center to get it out of the way. The new TV will be here next Saturday. I kept thinking I must be crazy, but I just couldn't resist 0% for 36 months I have never heard of a financing deal like that!

Top Ten Guilty Pleasures
Even though I think this will be hard for me to come up with, I read two blogs that said I had to post mine if I read theirs, so here it goes:
1. Watching rich women on reality TV, shows like Real Housewives of Orange County and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Somehow they make me feel like if they have EVERYTHING money can buy and still have loads of drama, I am better off with my simple, mostly drama free, happy life.
2. House Browsing. Every couple of months I will go on to the Utah Realty site and KSL to see what kind of house I could buy now with the budget we had when we bought our town house. I am happy to report there still aren't very many options in our price range and it makes me feel better that the value on our house has decreased at this point.
3. Gossiping. Yes, this is a guilty pleasure. I enjoy talking about other people. Yes, judge me if you would like. I judge myself for it regularly. It is not all negative either. Just talking in general about other people and their lives. I like to talk to Scott about other people to get the male perspective. And I like to talk about people of all ages. Analyzing people is fun to me. So sue me.
Maybe I should have been a psychiatrist or something so I could get paid for it.
4. Facebook games. Why, do I like the lame games on facebook? I don't know. I just enjoy playing the stupid Sorority Life game. And I spend way more time on Facebook than I used to. I used to be able to say I am not on very much, but that has changed.
5. Violent video games. Currently I am in the middle of Call of Duty on PS2, no we are not huge gamers, which is why we haven't upgraded our system. But I am good at Call of Duty and I like it. I actually like killing the guys on the game. Right after I had cyst surgery I played Simpsons Hit and Run (I think that is what it was), and I laughed harder than I should have post surgery at running people over with the car. Wow, I am a really bad person.
6.Budgeting. This is a weird one I know. But I actually like getting my bills and planning out my monthly budget. I don't like actually spending the money required, but I do enjoy laying them all out and paying them and seeing how much I have left over. It is super weird. I know. I even like paying bills for clients at work. That is much better because I am not having to spend MY money.
7. Baking. I don't get to bake as much as I would like considering my husband is not much of a sweets person, but I really enjoy it. I found a new recipe in one of my cooking magazines and made some chocolate cookies with marshmallow frosting with peppermint pieces on top for some of my co-workers. It was fun. I baked all night long and had a blast doing it. The problem is having the baked goods around the house.
8. Cuddling. I am not sure if this one qualifies as a guilty pleasure, but sometimes it does when I should be doing something else. I love cuddling with Scott on the couch, or in bed and watching a movie. It is one of my favorite things in the world.
9. Chick Flicks. Yes, I love me a good chick flick. They are super unrealistic and corny, but I can't not love them. I am a pretty mushy person actually, and I just love happy endings. Yes, I want a movie to make me feel good when it is over. And if the guy and girl end up together, that is just quite the bonus.
10. Driving the Tacoma. I feel so much more powerful when I drive the truck. It is not only much bigger than my Civic, but it has more horse power so it has a lot more get up and go. It is kind of a rush to go vroom vroom.

School
I am a big wuss and I am only taking one class this semester. Well, it is partly because I am hoping my add will help pick up my flower business, and I will be busy with that, but also last semester taking 2 classes was tough on me. It is just me. I know a lot of people work full time and go to school full time as well, but I just can't do it. Also, I was able to pay for this semester up front. I haven't even paid off last semester. I did however get an A- in both classes. I was pretty sure I was going to get a C in my Physical Science class and not even care because that class was tough! But I studied for the final for a total of 10 hours and it must have paid off because I got an A-. Hooray for that! This semester I am taking Accounting 200. It's an intro accounting course, and I have already taken one at BYUI and I am not that nervous about it. I didn't know it, but it is basically taught through lecture software and I don't have to attend class. I have already completed the first lesson and got 5 out of 5 on the first two quizzes. It is going to be a lot of work because something is due almost every day, but other than that, not too bad. One semester at a time.

A lot to say
I haven't blogged in so long, I have so much to catch up on. I am constantly thinking I should blog about this or that, but I end up not having time or just not feeling like it when I have the time. Scott keeps asking when I am going to blog next... So let's see, I am going to try and catch up on what has been going on in our lives really quick:
- Thanksgiving came and went, we spent time with Scott's family, saw a movie, and finished Christmas shopping that weekend.
- A couple of weeks later, we went to the Christmas party my work put on. It as really fun, and the entertainment was really good, but I can't remember the guy's name that sang. They were super generous and our gift this year consisted of $300 worth of gift cards all over the place. I have probably have of it left.
- Christmas was great. We spend Christmas Eve with my fam and Christmas morning and then we headed to my in-laws that afternoon. My favorite gift was a wireless printer that Scott got for me. I was super excited about it. It will be nice to have a printer/scanner/copier and be able to use it for school and business. I told someone the other day, it is a sign you are an adult when you favorite gifts are a printer and a waffle maker.
- The day after Christmas I went shopping with Scott's mom and brother. I had a gift card to Macy's from my brother I needed to spend and I got a killer deal on a purse. It was originally $85 and I got it for $22. I have never had a purse actually made of leather before. I was super stoked with my awesome purchase.
- The Sunday after Christmas Scott's brother and his family came in to town, and we hadn't seen them since we got married. Also, our only niece on Scott's sides was in town. I love her to death. She is just barely a teenager and a lot of fun. It was super nice to be able to spend time with them and get to know all of them a little bit better. We spent Sunday night, Monday night and Tuesday with them.
- Wednesday we went over to my parents because my sister and her fam were in town. We spend Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday with them. That was really fun as well. Friday Scott and I took the kids to Trafalga, and then later with my sisters took them bowling. It was a lot of fun.
We are super tired from going going going all the time, but we did have a lot of fun with our families. I really enjoy the holidays. And we have a lot of fun hanging out with our nieces and nephews. Today we finally got released from the nursery. We are really sad and frankly we didn't know what to do with ourselves. I am really going to miss those kids. It was super fun to and hang out with them every Sunday. I guess we will get over it. Well.... that is our life in a nutshell for the past month or so.
Oh yeah, and I got a sweet deal on some giant golf balls at Tai Pan Trading... then we found some giant tees on a web site called great big stuff or something like that. As soon as the ground isn't frozen anymore we are going to put them out in front of our house. They are sooo cool and I am way excited about them.
