Dinners

Ok, so I love to cook and make new things, but it has been surprisingly difficult to come up with meals since we got married. I started cooking for Scott every Sunday while we were engaged and we established a pattern of the same dinners over and over. That pattern has continued. One of the challenges I have had is finding dinners we both like. Scott likes red meat and I am not the biggest fan. I don't even eat a lot of meat anymore. Scott doesn't like rice or beans, and I actually enjoy both. Also, Scott likes really simple food. Lasagna, roast, hamburgers, spaghetti, turkey roast, ham & potatoes, you get the picture. Well, last night I added a dinner to the list. Chicken Cordon Bleu. I had never made it before, but Scott saw some at a grocery store that had bacon wrapped around it and I decided to try it. It was super easy and I didn't even need a recipe. It turned out so good! It was very tasty and both of us enjoyed it. It's hard to find a lot of things we both like! So exciting! Much to my sadness, I didn't think to take a picture of my masterpiece until after we were in the middle of eating. But Scott did say it looked professional. Hooray!
